Alex has beautiful blue eyes and an endearing smile. He loves French fries, Nintendo and Woodworking. Alex has autism and uses signs to communicate. Alex is an extrovert and loves people.

Alex loves woodworking– the precision of woodwork and the artistry needed sooth his soul and make him feel happy. He also likes desiging tiles that he uses in his trivets–His tile artwork varies from the modern to very traditional themes.

Alex makes many things in wood such as Trivets (wood framed tiles for putting hot pans on), candle holders, benches…and sells them through his company ALEXWORX.

Alex and his support staff work at Zion Lutheran Church in Madison, Wisconsin. They have given him space to do his woodworking, and he helps clean the church. This makes everyone happy.

Alex is new to business but is properly supported by his family and work staff. He knows he is lucky that his job is something he loves. He signs “I happy” when doing his work.
